The credit union honors local educators helping shape tomorrow’s leaders
SAN ANTONIO, TX (August 20, 2026) – Firstmark Credit Union is launching the Firstmark Influencer of Tomorrow (F.I.T.) Award for the 2026-2027 academic year. This monthly initiative celebrates one outstanding education professional making a meaningful difference in schools and communities across San Antonio and surrounding counties. Each selected educator receives a $1,000 monetary award, a personalized trophy, and official Firstmark Credit Union recognition across all digital platforms.
Firstmark is shining a spotlight on people in education whose dedication enriches the lives of their students through their positive influence. Whether it’s a teacher who inspires confidence, a counselor who offers support, a bus driver who brightens a day, a cafeteria team member who makes students feel welcome, or an administrator who went above and beyond. Across our schools and communities, exceptional individuals help students learn, grow, and prepare for the future. Their influence extends far beyond the classroom and leaves a lasting impact on the lives of others.
The F.I.T. Award celebrates these future builders—members of the education community whose dedication, leadership, compassion, and service help shape tomorrow’s leaders.
“For generations, Firstmark Credit Union has proudly supported education and the people who make learning possible,” said President and CEO of Firstmark Credit Union, Wendy Cleveland. “The F.I.T. Award is one more way Firstmark is recognizing those who invest their time, talent, and heart into helping students succeed and communities thrive.”
Firstmark is accepting nominations from August 1, 2026 through May 1, 2027. Parents, students, colleagues, and community members can nominate an outstanding educator through the Firstmark Credit Union website.
Selections are made every 1st Wednesday of the month by the Firstmark Credit Union’s Impact & Marketing teams based on an internal rubric. Once the selection is made, Firstmark staff coordinate a surprise presentation with the administration of the campus’s winner.
