SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 5, 2026) – Firstmark Credit Union has donated over $7,000 in school supplies to 12 elementary schools, thanks to contributions made during its fourth annual Classroom Supply Drive. The initiative helps hardworking teachers stock their classrooms with essential supplies while reducing the amount they may otherwise have to pay out of their own pockets.
Held July 9 through August 12, the Classroom Supply Drive has become a meaningful annual event at Firstmark and reflects the credit union’s deep roots in education. Firstmark was founded by ten teachers, and the drive is one of the distinctive, hands-on ways the organization continues to support educators and the communities they serve.
Firstmark members, employees, and countless community members contributed items ranging from paper and pens to tissues and disinfecting wipes. These donations will help teachers create well-equipped learning environments where students can begin the school year ready to learn.
“As a credit union with roots in education, it’s especially meaningful to be able to help teachers stock their classrooms,” said Marisa Pérez-Díaz, Vice President of Community and Public Relations at Firstmark Credit Union. “We are incredibly thankful to our members, Firstmark staff, and the greater community for showing up to support our school districts. Since 2023, this supply drive has become a tradition we look forward to, and an important way we honor local educators’ commitment to serve students.”
The 10 school districts where the supplies were distributed spanned San Antonio, La Vernia, and New Braunfels, Texas. Firstmark is thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with local schools, as well as other partners, in making a positive difference in the communities it serves and looks forward to next year’s drive.
