Who Is Firstmark
Since 1932, Firstmark Credit Union has been a passionate champion for the education community. For us, it is about making an impact in the lives of our members in honor of our legacy. Education is ingrained in our history, our membership, and our commitment to the communities we serve. Originally chartered as San Antonio Teachers Credit Union, we proudly provide support to the education community and to all who make a difference in the lives of our children.
2022 Support for Northside Independent School District (NISD)
- Educator Grants Awarded to Seven (7) NISD Teachers
- Pillars of Character Gala and Silent Auction Sponsorship
- New Teacher Orientation Sponsor and Speaking Engagement with Marisa Perez-Diaz
- Northside Education Foundation – Golf Tournament Sponsor
- Northside Education Foundation – Grant Delivery Volunteers
- Movie Tickets and Discount Cards Given to Eight (8) NISD Schools
Every year, on behalf of our members, Firstmark:
- Funds important educational initiatives through the Firstmark Foundation, contributing over $100,000 in 2022.
- Delivers over 60,000 free Academic Planners to public and private school teachers in the San Antonio area.
- Awards twenty $1,000 Cunningham Scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the San Antonio area.
- Awards twenty $1,000 Education Grants to school employees to help fund their innovative project ideas.
- Supports several school districts and their education foundation boards to help raise funds for projects and grants.
