SAN ANTONIO, Texas (November 9, 2025) – Firstmark Credit Union, in partnership with The Lonnie Walker IV Foundation and HUB Investment Partners (HUB), gave away free holiday turkeys, goodie bags, and more, to 1,000 educators at their sixth annual Turkeys for Teachers event.

With cars making their way through different giveaway stations, educators and their families got to enjoy live performances from local school bands, mascots from local spots such as Las Palapas and KSAT-12, and tons of volunteers showing them appreciation for all they do. The turkeys were provided by Firstmark, The Lonnie Walker IV Foundation handed out all the side dishes, and there were countless donations made by neighborhood organizations.

TFT 2“As a credit union founded by teachers, we are continuously looking for ways to support our education community, and having this event for educators is our way of showing gratitude for their dedication and hard work,” said Marisa Pérez-Díaz, executive director of the Firstmark Foundation. “We are incredibly thankful to everyone who helped contribute this year and in past Turkeys for Teachers events—seeing the community come together is truly inspiring. The commitment teachers display on a day-to-day basis to help students succeed knows no bounds, and we hope this special giveback makes them feel appreciated.”

Founded by educators, Firstmark continues to chart a course that celebrates their roots in education. Each year, Firstmark provides monetary donations to school district foundations, offers education grants to 20 deserving teachers, student scholarships for high school graduating seniors, and much more. Firstmark’s ability to give back would not be possible without their members, who play a crucial role toward making a lasting difference in the community.
