Alamo Colleges District – 2025

The Firstmark Foundation announced its High Impact Grant award of $100,000 to the Alamo Colleges District (ACD), in support of five new financial resource libraries, case management and financial wellness programming, and scholarships for students. This grant blended financial wellness into the ACD’s current Student Advocacy Center Network to equip students with essential life skills that extend beyond academics, aimed to improve economic and social mobility for local graduates.
SAMSAT

San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology (SAMSAT) – 2024

The Firstmark Foundation awarded $100,000 to SAMSAT, the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology, in support of the SAMSAT Educator Fellows Program. The program will train teachers over one year in methods of project-based learning (PBL), including three teachers with prior experience who will also serve as mentors. With a focus on aiding teachers who serve underrepresented populations via Title I schools, the program is designed to provide professional development and an overall unique experience.

Holdsworth Center

The Holdsworth Center – 2023

The Firstmark Foundation pledged $100,000 to The Holdsworth Center to help scale their Superintendent Leadership Program (SLP). This unique program is designed to provide training and leadership development for superintendents who have served five years or less. The curriculum is tailored to address the most challenging aspects of the role, which includes leading with strategy and vision, enhancing communication, and building a high-performing executive team.

Cast Schools

CAST Schools Network – 2022

The Firstmark Foundation pledged $40,000 to the CAST Schools Network in support of their Teacher Residency Program. The program, which focuses on teacher recruitment and retention, provides a network of support, coaching, and mentorship to educators working toward their teaching certificate. The program also offers hands-on experience in a real classroom setting.

Cast Teach

CAST Teach – 2021

The Firstmark Foundation pledged $80,000 to CAST Teach to help support the school’s infrastructure costs toward constructing an innovative model classroom and a professional resource library. The area will be utilized for a teacher preparation program, which will provide a hands-on experience for high school students interest in the field of education.
