FREDERICKSBURG, Texas (December 22, 2023) – Firstmark Credit Union, along with Texas Ranches For Sale (TRFS), joined together to visit five Fredericksburg-area schools districts and distribute holiday hams to 400 school employees. This marks the first time both Firstmark and TRFS have teamed up for this great cause.
“Giving back to Fredericksburg ISD this holiday season is just one way we could express our immense gratitude for their hard work throughout the year,” said Marisa Pérez-Díaz, executive director of the Firstmark Foundation. “Words cannot begin to describe the vital role teachers play in molding our future generations, and we are extremely thankful for them.”
Providing hams to school employees at Fredericksburg Primary School, Fredericksburg Elementary School, Fredericksburg Middle School, Fredericksburg High School, and Stonewall Elementary School, Firstmark and TRFS were not only eager to bring some holiday cheer to honor the invaluable contributions made by educators year-round, but to give back to the community they serve. Both Firstmark and TRFS aim to make this an annual event, with the hopes of adding more schools in the following year.
“Everyone here at TRFS was looking to give back to the community we serve this season,” said Ken Hoerster, owner of TRFS. “This is something we wanted to do to show our appreciation for the hard-working educators at Fredericksburg ISD, and we hope to give back for years to come, as we recently opened a new location here in the community.”
