Giving Back
At Firstmark, our common purpose is to help people have better lives. One way we do that is by giving back to our community through volunteering. Under our volunteer program, each employee receives up to 16 hours of paid time per year to volunteer as part of credit union organized events. We host an average of three activities per month — helping out at non-profit organizations as well as school-district and city-wide events.
Some of the many organizations we support are:
- Literacy San Antonio/SA Reads
- Communities in Schools
- Junior Achievement
- San Antonio Food Bank
- Habitat for Humanity
- Animal Defense League
Our volunteers also have fun helping with community events, including: The Fest of Tails, San Antonio Book Festival, Fiesta, JazzSA’live, the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner and Salvation Army’s Angel Tree.
