Firstmark Credit Union is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2013 Frank Price Cunningham & Helen Shipman Cunningham Scholarship! Each of these ten scholars will receive $1,000 to be used towards their college education.
Firstmark Credit Union uses the Piper Scholars Committee for the Bexar County Scholarship Clearing House of the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation to assist in the scholarship selection process. Composed of local educators, the Piper Scholars Committee for the Bexar County Scholarship Clearing House was established in 1965 to serve as a liaison between the applicant and the scholarship donors and currently assists seventy-five organizations in their selection process. They are well recognized in the community and provide valuable expertise for this important responsibility.
Firstmark Credit Union established the Scholarship Fund in honor of Frank Price Cunningham and Helen Shipman Cunningham who served the Credit Union as president and vice president respectively. Individuals wanting to make a tax deductible contribution to the Frank Price Cunningham & Helen Shipman Cunningham Scholarship may do so by making their checks payable to the San Antonio Area Foundation and mailing it to Firstmark Credit Union Scholarship Fund, PO Box 701650, San Antonio, TX 78270-1650. Please indicate on the check that your contribution is for the Frank Price Cunningham & Helen Shipman Cunningham Scholarship to assure proper credit.
