For more than 85 years, Firstmark has been a constant champion of the education community. After all, our own story began at Fox Tech High School where ten teachers signed a charter to form the San Antonio Teachers Credit Union.
We understand the challenges teachers face each year. The cost of supplying classroom needs can be overwhelming to both new and veteran educators. It is our privilege and honor to offer Educator Grants to eligible members. For the 2019-2020 school year, Firstmark will distribute $7,500 to winning grant recipients – that’s 15 grants at $500 each.
- Describe your project idea
- State your goals for your project
- Submit your application
The application deadline is the final day of every month.
To be eligible for a Firstmark Educator Grant, you must be a Credit Union member and an educator (teacher, librarian, counselor, etc.) in grades K through 12 (public, charter or private school) in good standing. If you currently are not a member, you can join online or at any of our conveniently located financial centers.
Applications will be awarded through May 2020. All applications will be reviewed by the Firstmark Educator Grant Committee. A Firstmark representative will schedule a day and time to deliver the grant and photograph winning recipient(s). Winners’ names, photos, and project ideas may be published via the Firstmark Credit Union website, newsletter, social media, and other marketing channels.
Please note: A total of 15 grants will be awarded over the 2019-2020 school year. Non-winning applications will roll over for the remaining yearly award cycle (from September – April).
Only one application is allowed per applicant. If a second application is submitted in the same yearly award cycle, it will REPLACE the existing application in that same cycle.
