As Texas begins its phased approach to reopen the Texas economy, the credit union will take added precaution before adjusting our service and operations procedures in order to best protect our employees and members. While we expand our hours of operation in our call center, or Member Care Center, beginning on Monday, May 4, the credit union will continue to take a prudent approach for how and when we reopen our branch lobbies for member service.

As you may have heard, San Antonio’s Mayor Nirenberg has extended ‘Stay Home, Work Safe’ orders through May 19, for San Antonio and Bexar county. In his announcement on April 27, Governor Abbott clarified that Texas businesses who have the option to reopen as early as May 1, are not required to do so. The credit union has a dedicated team who carefully researches a variety of sources to reach informed and balanced decisions throughout the crisis.

Like you, we look forward to the day we can safely serve our members in our branch lobbies. In the meantime, we will continue to provide service in our drive-thru lanes and in the Member Care Center until further notice. You may also take care of many transactions through online and mobile banking, our full-service ATMs located at our financial centers, and remote deposit.

As mentioned earlier, we are adjusting our service hours in the call center, or Member Care Center (MCC), and will do so in two phases:

  1. Beginning Monday, May 4, through Saturday, May 16, our hours in MCC will be:
Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturdays, 10:00am to 2:00pm.
  2. Beginning Monday, May 18, and beyond, we will return to our regular hours in MCC:
Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 7:00pm, and Saturdays, 9:00am to 4:00pm.

At this time, our drive-thru hours will remain the same, Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, and closed on Saturdays. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we plan and transition carefully. Please look for future updates on our website, in social media, and by email.

Sincerely, The Firstmark Credit Union Team
