Firstmark Credit Union Board Member Retires After 28 Years

SAN ANTONIO, TX --- (April 10, 2012) --- Leon Ewing, President and CEO of Firstmark Credit Union, has announced the retirement of Board member, Joyce Chamberlain.   Ms. Chamberlain has honorably served on the Board of Directors for over 28 years, including a term on the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Audit Committee, and brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Board. 

For over four decades Ms. Chamberlain served the San Antonio educational community through her work within the San Antonio Independent School District, where she held multiple positions. Ms. Chamberlain earned both her Bachelors of Arts degree in Music and Master’s degrees in Education and Counseling, and is credentialed in over six professional specialties.  

Anthony Petri, an Advisory Board member of the Credit Union since 2009, has been appointed to fill Ms. Chamberlain’s unexpired term. Mr. Petri holds a  Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and a Masters of Education.  He enjoyed a 29 year career in education with the Northside Independent School District, including positions as principal of Dwight Eisenhower and Douglas MacArthur High School.
