GENERAL QUESTIONS

There is a large database of FAQs located within the Bill Pay system. You can find a majority of answers by clicking the "Help" button located in the upper right-hand side of the Bill Pay screen.

When I log into Online Banking and click the "Bill Pay" button I get the following message.

With the maintenance of Bill Pay between 7/12/13-7/15/13, you may have to re-authenticate your computer before you can begin to pay bills using this service.

  1. From within Internet Explorer, go to Tools / Internet Options.

  2. Change the privacy settings to "Low."

  3. Now you may begin to pay bills like you did before.
  4. When you schedule your payments, you may also have to answer your security questions to complete the process.

Login Instructions
  • You must have a password for Online Banking in order to access Bill Pay
  • Sign on to Online Banking
  • Select the Bill Pay tab - located at the top of the screen
  • Payments can be set up for a one-time payment, recurring payment, you can schedule the payment for the future or to pay now.
  • Be sure to look at the number of days needed to make the payment anywhere from 2 days to 8 days. The date you choose to make the payment is the date the money will be withdrawn from your account NOT the day the payment will be credited. If you have a payment due on the 10th of the month and it indicates "5" days, you must schedule it for the 5th of the month in order for the payment to be guaranteed.
  • When scheduling your payment for "now", you must have the money in the account, overdraft protection and member privilege will not work for same day payment. They will work if available for future payments.
  • The first thing you want to do is set up your payees
    1. Click "payments" tab and "payment center" if necessary
    2. Click "add payee" tab - you will have four options – 1) pick from a list of frequently paid businesses, 2) another business (we recommend that you add your own payees to make sure you are sending your money to the correct payment center), 3) an individual, or 4) a financial institution (you will need the routing number, the account number, and the name of the financial institution).
    3. You will need the following information for each payee (bill you want paid)
      1. Name of company/person
      2. Nickname that you want to use to remember what bill is for
      3. Address including city, state, zip code & phone number
      4. Name on account of the bill you are paying
      5. Account number of the bill you want to pay
  • The information that you provide will be verified. Some companies are already in our bill pay system and are quickly confirmed, others may take longer to confirm.
  • Once your payees have been set up, you can schedule your payments, either by clicking on single payment or multiple payments.
  • If you make a payment for the same day and press submit, you CANNOT stop that payment from being processed. If you schedule a future payment and decide to change it, you can change it up until the day you scheduled it for payment.

Are my bills guaranteed?

Paying your bills through Bill Pay is also guaranteed. You will receive confirmation numbers when your payment goes through that assure you that the payment is made. Then you can relax knowing your payment will arrive on time.

When I try to access Bill Pay, I get an error that reads "Single Sign-On Error (SSO Error)" or "Whisper Error - Error encountered with Bill Payment."

This error is experienced when an account has been deactivated due to inactivity. Please call the Credit Union at (210) 342-8484 or (800) 683-1211.

I am unable to access Bill Pay.

If you have a problem accessing Bill Pay, you may have software on you computer that doesn't allow pop-up windows or blocks pop-up windows.

Turn off the "Pop-Up Blocker" option on their computer, or configure their Pop-Up Blocker to allow Pop-Ups from mcw.sateacherscu.org. This should solve the issue. If you are still experiencing problems, please call (800) 235-8291.

I get the message "The bill payment system is currently unavailable" and "The system is currently unavailable. Please try again later"

If you were previously logged into Bill Pay and exited the system incorrectly without using the "exit" buttons, you may receive this message.

Wait 15 minutes to allow the system to reset your account. This should solve the issue. If you are still experiencing problems, please call (888) 819-3880.
