It's a great way to "try on" a new position, build skills, advance knowledge, and identify career paths you may be interested in pursuing.

Education Assistance

Committed to supporting and encouraging your professional development, Firstmark Credit Union has created a unique educational assistance program. First, while many companies only provide assistance to full-time employees, we provide reimbursement to both full- and part-time staff. Secondly, the longer you remain with Firstmark Credit Union, the greater your reimbursement dollar amount will be.

Leadership Training Program

Employees meeting certain criteria are nominated for the Program by their managers. They are then interviewed and selected, by the CFO and COO. Once selected they begin a 12-month training program where they rotate through various departments. This allows them to gain first-hand knowledge of all areas of the Credit Union. They are assigned specific tasks and projects, similar to an internship, to demonstrate and practice their leanings.

Mentoring Program

Unlike any other, Firstmark Credit Union’s Mentor Program focuses on building valuable and enduring relationships. As an employee, you will be able to select mentor based upon your learning goals. Whether you meet with your mentor on a regular basis, correspond through emails, meet for lunch, or find other ways, the assistance and direction from a well-respected mentor can be an invaluable supplement to a mentee's learning and development.  A good relationship with a supportive, active mentor can contribute significantly to an employee's career development, satisfaction, and success at Firstmark Credit Union.

Leadership Development

Firstmark Credit Union's strong belief of promoting from within is based on skills and knowledge gained throughout your career at the Credit Union.
